The Chinese Ministry of the Tiburon Baptist Church welcomes all Chinese speakers who want to learn and share the love of Jesus Christ through prayers, worship, and Bible study.

 

Sunday Regular Schedule:

 

9:30 a.m. - Morning Tea

9:40 a.m. - Chinese Bible Study for adults in Room #23 (on the main floor)

9:40 a.m. - Children's Sunday School in English (downstairs); led by Monica Lipsky

9:40 a.m. - Youth Sunday School in English (upstairs); led by Chris Harrold

11:00 a.m. - Worship Service

12:15 p.m. - International Lunch

Chinese Class:

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Chinese Class for Beginners

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Chinese Class for Elementary

The Chinese class of the Tiburon Baptist Church offers Mandarin language lessons to students from the Marin community. The teachers adopt Meizhou Chinese, one of the well-recognized Chinese textbooks in the United States, and supplement it with fun online programs. Students will learn about Chinese culture, as well as listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese. At the end of each lesson, students will perform a mini-play using new words, phrases and sentences that they learn in the class. Learning Chinese becomes fun and exciting!

Start Day of Fall Term: the first Sunday after the Labor Day holiday in September.

End of School year: mid-June of the following year.

Date/Time:

• Every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for beginning Chinese level students (ages 4+)
• Every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for elementary Chinese level students (2nd grade+)

Tiburon浸信教会的中文班为马林县社区提供中国语文课程。该课程采用美洲华语课本，课堂教学以课本为主，辅以电子教材，学生在老师带领下，一边学习汉语的听、说、读、写，一边学习中国文化。课堂上，老师引导学生将学到的字、词、句、用扮演角色的表演方式复习，有形象、有趣、好玩，深得学生们喜爱。课后有适当的家庭作业。

开课时间：每年九月劳工节（Labor Day）后第一个星期日。

学期结束：次年六月中旬。

• 每逢星期天（公共假期除外）下午1:00-2:00 - 幼儿班 （初学班）
• 每逢星期天（公共假期除外）下午1:00-3:00 - 小学班
